A Deeper Pace
The Inner Wild is not a tightly scheduled programme. It is a week shaped by land, weather, intuition, and what emerges within the group. While the details unfold organically inside an intentional structure, there are certain rhythms you can look forward to - held within a field of gentleness, depth, and spaciousness.
Throughout the week, we’ll spend a great deal of time out on the land listening, observing, and letting the landscape work on us. There will be guided encounters with the horses and ancient cattle: opportunities to learn from their presence, coherence, and way of being.

Herbalism & Ecology
One day will be devoted to herbal medicine and local ecology, guided by a local herbalist and forager. We may harvest from the land, explore the wisdom of a particular plant for the week, and deepen our relationship with the living world through scent, touch, and slow attention.
Sustenance
Quality meals will be a core part of the retreat. Our private chef will prepare nourishing, locally sourced meals each day - simple, wholesome, and grounding. There will be opportunities for sea swims, gentle movement, dance, and play, as well as evenings of story, fire, and quiet company.
Transhumance
A major element of the retreat will be an ancient Highland tradition: walking the horses from their winter pasture to their summer grazing. The retreat falls over Beltane, historically the time when herds were moved to the uplands, so we’ll honour this seasonal threshold together with a full-day walk and a land-based celebration marking the turning of the year.
Inner Work
Alongside these experiences, Kathryn and Lizzie will weave somatic work, depth psychology, ritual, and group process - offering practices that support presence, intuition, and inner listening. There will be time held for rest, integration, solitude, and the kind of unhurried slowness that allows the nervous system to settle.
